Aromatherapy

So why not benefit from this super-easy remedy? Don’t worry; you really not invest a huge amount of time and money for booking aromatherapy sessions outside your place. You can start it right at the comfort of your abode.

Here’s how:

Illuminating Incenses:

This could be the simplest thing you can do. Just light up an incense stick of your choice, lay it on its holder, and let the aroma work for you. Within few minutes the smoke will waft through your room, spreading a heady, musky fragrance. The best part is that these are available in an abundant variety and are relatively inexpensive. You can place them anywhere and rejuvenate your senses.

Scented candles:

These have been famous for masking those unpleasant odors in your home. But now you can use them for aromatherapy for calming effects. These are believed to work by targeting the scent receptors. So, when you breathe in the scent, the molecules trigger those parts of the brain which are responsible for calming you down.

If you don’t want to spend a good amount on designer candles, you can make them at home too. For this all you will need is fragrance oil. Just look for an oil with aroma which soothe your mind and let you relax. Try it on this weekend!

Linen spray:

Need a more subtle way to introduce scent into your room? Simply, spray one of the best sweet-smelling wonders on your sheets, maybe while ironing or you can just spritz your pillowcases. The products available in the market consist of deionized water or neutral alcohol, blended with some kind of scent. There is just one catch- you cannot expect these fragrances to last overnight. However, you can make one which last longer at home.

All you need is:

  • 2 tablespoons witch hazel or vodka.
  • 10 drops of your favorite fragrance oil
  • 6 tablespoons water.
  • Jar with tight-fitting lid.
  • Funnel and spray bottle.

To make it, combine the witch hazel or vodka with your fragrance oil in a jar. Now place the lid on tightly and shake it well for 15-20 seconds. To dilute it add water to the jar and shake again for 15-20 seconds to mix them well. Using a funnel pour it in the spray bottle. It is ready!
